The Coast to Coast Packhorse guided cycling packages offer the chance to cycle 280km over 4 days. Our expert guides blend local knowledge with experience and will make this the experience of a lifetime for any dedicated cyclist. The guided cycling packages last four days and don’t include rest days. For this reason, all guests will be asked to complete a medical and fitness disclaimer.
Our Cycling Packages in Detail
Our 2020 guided cycling packages take place between July 10th and July 14th, and are broken down as follows:
10th July – arrive in Kirkby Stephen. Enjoy evening meal and accommodation
11th July – Transfer to St Bees and embark on the trip. Ride through Matterdale and Whinlatter Forests and cover a total of 50km
12th July – Cover 76km. Ride includes the shore of Ullswater, Brampton and Shap and the village of Orton. Finish by crossing the Settle-Carlisle railway and arriving in Kirkby Stephen
13th July – Cover 92km. Climb into north Yorkshire and through Keld and Swaledale. Finish the day crossing the Vale of Mowbray and arriving at Osmotherley
14th July – Cover 72km. Cross the North Yorkshire Moors, passing through Kildale, Castleton, Glaisdale and Grosmon before reaching Robin Hood’s Bay
What Else We Offer
As well as the guided cycling tour itself, our fantastic package includes the following:
- Top quality accommodation in a range of establishments
- Luggage transferred between accommodation daily
- Transport for guests unable to cycle through illness or injury
- Secure parking at our base in Kirkby Stephen
Every guest will be provided with a detailed information pack. These packs include notes on what to look out for on the trip and details of the services in each village, such as banks, cash points etc. To help with navigation we also provide gpx files to be loaded onto relevant devices such as smartphones.
The cost of the booking doesn’t include lunch or evening meals, although breakfast will be provided every day. For 2020 our prices are £525.00 per person.
