To be able to use the Coast to Coast Packhorse Online Booking System we must ask for and store some basic personal information about you. By using our online system to book your holiday or services you consent to the collection and use of this data in the manner described.
We comply with and are registered under the Data Protection laws in the United Kingdom. We take all reasonable care to prevent any unauthorised access to and use of your personal data.
DATA WE COLLECT
When you use the Online Booking System you will be asked for your name, address, email address, telephone number, postal address and other information as required in order to be able to process your holiday booking or services accurately. You will also be asked to provide the same information for any party members you are including within your booking.
The details you provide will be stored on a computer with off-site back-up. These details are necessary to enable us to ensure we process your booking accurately, provide your holiday or services efficiently, can contact you in case of emergency, enable the accommodation providers you are booked into to have the information for check-in, and to send you the appropriate holiday items and such like.
We do not store customer credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties. If you choose to pay by credit/debit card you will be sent a link to a secure Paypal portal. We do not ask you for your credit/debit card details. These are only used by Paypal (who have their own Policies covering your use of their portal).
All customer information will be retained by Coast to Coast Packhorse for a period of not less than one year from the transaction date. It will remain available during that period and supplied to the customer on request.
OTHER USE OF DATA
We may contact you by post, e-mail or telephone to ask you for your feedback and comments on our services. In addition we may use the information as a service to our customers through sending you information on other Coast to Coast Packhorse news, services or goods as they arise, unless you have signified to us that you do not wish us to contact you with this information.
We share your name (and those of the rest of your party) with the accommodation we have booked you into. This is necessary to ensure your booking with them as well as to aid efficient check-in. We may also provide them with your mobile number. This is primarily for emergency situations (such as your potential late arrival when they are concerned for your welfare on the fells).
We do not provide this information to any other commercial or non-commercial organization (unless to comply with an explicit request from the Police or Mountain Rescue Services).
UPDATING YOUR DETAILS
If any of the information that you have provided to us changes, for example if you change your e-mail or postal address, name or telephone number, please let us know the correct details by sending an e-mail to email@example.com or by sending a letter to Coast to Coast Packhorse Ltd, Unit 2 Wild Boar, St Lukes Road, Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria CA17 4HT.
